Unique Landscape Quilts and Gift Items for Your Home
When I moved to Conway, New Hampshire in 1999, I began creating my own patterns and designs with my landscapes behind old windowframes. After taking a landscape class from Jo Diggs, a well-known teacher and quilter from Portland, ME--and one of my heroes--I graduated to a more sophisticated look that did not require creating a pattern first.

Overview
All of my designs are original, mounted on acid-free museum board, then matted and framed. My landscape quilts have sold at the League of New Hampshire Craftsmen in North Conway, NH, Gallery 302 in Bridgton, ME, and WRENovation in Bethlehem, NH. My fabric designs include Mount Washington, Mount Chocorua and Mount Monadnock in New Hampshire.
Inspiration comes in many forms, including nature, photographs, magazines and books. Sometimes the fabric itself dictates what it wants to become. Many people have commented that, from a distance, the artwork looks just like a painting. It's not until they are up close that they can see that the "painting" is actually pieces of fabric.
What is the process?
Once I have a design in mind, I take pieces of fabric and cut them into the shapes I need. Next, I either appliqué or fuse the pieces of fabric down on the base fabric. The fabric landscape is sewn onto acid-free museum board, then matted and framed.
Recently, I was chosen to appear on a segment of WMUR'S Channel 9 New Hampshire Chronicle. I was very excited to tell my story of how quilting has changed my life. Not only have I found my hidden creativity, but have also found many new friends in the quilting and business world.
Another new venture for me is to have my original designs uploaded onto various products, such as decorative tiles and throw pillows, tote bags, keepsake boxes and ornaments, mugs, notecards, mousepads, personal journals, postcards, t-shirts, and framed prints. These products are available under products on this website.
